I think her little flashback here still has yet to make any sense of any sort.

In Before: "Blaurgh! I'm the Alfalfa Monster!"

So, while I am apparently being forced down by gravity, I've got something for you. It's a guy who laughs in the face of gravity and floats around to tick it off.

The Alfalfa Mo- Err... I mean the Celestia graphic was custom-drawn by ZuTheSkunk. The Twilight Sparkle popsicle was molded by Adiwan and, like the last page, the reimagine ponies graphics were designed by BB-Kenobi. Everypony here's from DeviantART.

@LUGZ

Every web-comic I have read within the last year (and that is a substantial number) has referenced this show. I watched five episodes last year. I didn't like it but apparently more than six makes you a "brony." It reminds me very much of Azumanga Daioh crossed with Pocahontas. Which I think I would actually enjoy a whole lot more. While it is possible I saw all the stupid, cliche, lame, horrible, judgmental, and morally ambiguous episodes. I find more enjoyment in making fun of what I do know of it than what I don't.

Sorry, I'm not that into torture. Although I did enjoy it more than some of the anime that have come about in recent years.

I like reading this comic because I think it's funny. I probably wouldn't have read it, except for the fact that Lugbzurg made a comment on one of mine.

Contrary to popular belief, I genuinely think you should first try to understand something before you comment upon it. While not exactly the wisdom of Solomon it helps you speak softly and carry a sharp stick. After all, it isn't like you can beat off darkness with anything other than light.

Also, I suspect lern2suture is a plant. Of course, there's also the possibility that I am in fact a plant. I'm definitely a concern troll and Lugbzurg hasn't shut me down for acting silly.

Catharsis

reply

@Mr. Maman:
There is a difference between criticism, an attack on a person, and a genuine complaint. However, not many people are aware of the difference. While disagree with Lugz that proper grammar and punctuation are essential to communication. I do agree that there is a right way and a wrong way to criticize a work of art or fiction.

A really good example, of an infantile attack, as demonstrated by a hater troll is available here:

http://wereviewyoudontsue.smackjeeves.com/comics/792914/nio-transient-pulse-popcorncomic s/

It's always fun when the three finger rule is in play. The reviewer, whose character development skills in writing are limited to archetypes of "bipolar" innocent persecuted heroines, psychotic saboteurs, divine prostitues, and wounded children, really has me beat when it comes to laissez character development. I must say I too found her art woefully lazy, since she incorporated "Happy noodle boy" and "chibi styled" art throughout her OWN comics, which ironically enough violated her the "seven panel rule."(I should mention this rule has no basis in reality.) I can verify this having read Marvel, DC, Korean, European, and Japanese as well as independent comics. All of which violate the seven panel rule quite frequently. Not only that, she too violates this rule. Thus making her a hypocrite.

She actually admits to reading only twelve pages but makes no mention of events that unfold in the other hundred or so pages she claims to have read.

All I could think was at the time, between fits of hysterical laughter, was "Nice work there lazybones." Surely, as a fellow artist and college student, I would not know my craft or my creations better than a social engineer that is trying to right a great wrong and eliminate some unfair advantage I must have.

I don't want to go off on a rant here but I had already taken several classes on art history, interpersonal communication, game design, and god knows how many film studies by this point in my college career.

I was already very aware how to critique a work of art with minimal damage before I recieved her review. And, unlike the hater troll, I will frequently make clear my opinions are just that "opinions."

I cannot and will not be held responsible for any insults (real or imagined) perceived by my patron or reader. Furthermore, while I find it odd she could not describe more than twelve pages after supposedly reading one hundred I can understand why she would want to destroy me. Afterwards, she then went to my website to inform me of my public "spanking," in order to gloat. Honestly, I think giving her a one star rating as well as permanently banning her from my website was the least I could do. Fortunately, I was banned from the review site for retaliating otherwise I might have decided to write my own review of Witchie Mc Beyotch's comics

Her comments about the pencil lines and coloring were B.S. considering more than 2/3 of the comic was full color and the filler comics were clearly labeled at the beginning of the archive.

Still, in a genuine review you more or less have to justify your complaints with more than "your gammar suck" or "you can see the pencil lines" You have to give reasons and pages, locations, reference points to validate your claims... Social proof doesn't exist in a bubble you have to back that up with more than your opinion.

And what sort of child doesn't know how to use a word processor and web browser simultaneously to type up a review? I realize that there are certain advantages to using a notebook to do some forms of research, but if all you are going to do is back up your opinions with no point of reference other than your own piety, and moral superiority, then there is no reason to waste time with something that is likely to catch fire.
