@Sabbo Again:
One warm, weekend day. Just like any other. The shining sun in the Equestrian sky glistened upon Metal Sonic's metallic blue armour. Ever since the Sonic Heroes incident, Metal had seen glimpses of another world not dominated by 1s and 0s.

Thus, it was his decision to make his way to the magical land of Equestria every once in a while, just to get away from it all and hope to get one of Ponyville's many citizens to teach him the so-called "Magic of Friendship".

However, most had run from his intimidating form, others simply walking past him without a word, as he sat by himself under a tree, his head down in contemplation of his feelings.

However, today there was one pony who done neither of those.

"Muffin?"

Metal Sonic lifted his head to witness the bearer of this strange new word. Right in front of him was a grey pegasus pony, her blond mane flowing through the air, her eyes closed as her outstretched forelegs offered a most curious object.

The weapon of mass destruction asked what the object was, in as kind a manner as he could.

"STATE HELD ITEM."

However, as soon as the pegasus tried to answer, she opened her eyes. And that's when the War Machine discovered something... beautiful.

Her eyes were not facing his direction. Rather, they were looking in opposite directions, indicating to Metal that she must have some kind of birth defect.

However, this is not what intrigued Metal the most.

For the pegasus pony must have had some hardships during her life, due to her difference to everypony else. She may have been verbally, or even physically abused due to her... defect.

But despite this, she was happy. Not only that, but she seemed to be trying to help others, for this is what her offer might be for. Maybe-

"Hey! Robot guy! Are you listening?"

Metal Sonic smiled inside. He was so different to everyone else... but this pony had shown him that he could still be happy.

"AFFIRMATIVE. ELABORATE FURTHER."

There'd be about seven kids, I think, and they would engage in various activities, games, recipes, videos, play performances, and several other things that viewers would send in for them to do via mail or the internet. In later seasons, they also brought in stuff like book reviews and user-submitted videos. It was awesome.

In what sense did it come before "Between the Lions." Are we talking an earlier time slot? I might have missed it while watching "Judge Judy," or "The Peoples Court."

I think I am justifiably suspicious of a show that uses persuasion and influence tactics that one is taught how to detect and diffuse while in college.

Granted, that probably means they're pretty low end on the scale of social engineering and border on direct marketing tactics. Also, I cannot genuinely see them teaching anything substantially more than superficial social psychology to media students anyway.

Although, my clairvoyance based critical thinking skills tell me you believe my argument to be unsound. And, It must remain unsound should "they" discover I'm on to them. **wink** After all, I am but a lone sheet in the wind. Should I expose "them" for what "they" are... well I'd rather not think about it. It goes without saying that everything would come to a head.

Still, as long as I use the 2+2=fish strategy they can't prove that I'm on to them. Of course, by revealing my deceptive strategy I might actually have to change tactics. Still, there's always satire, and I did promise someone more than a year ago that I'd follow through on that web comic idea I've been developing.

@ Jarkes

I don't know. The quote seems pretty complete to me. I certainly thought making my comics brought value to survival. I think that's true for most poets and artists. I'm sure Lug-Z agrees.

Just because some people get the lions share of credit or admiration doesn't make their work any less spectacular.

If your comment was meant as a dig at me because ___one___ reviewer stated My comic does "nothing to entertain or intellectualy stimulate." I can lead you to more than twenty others that would disagree, and that doesn't include my fan-base.

1)Yes, from a direct marketing standpoint my comic is lazy. However If I was actually marketing my comic that would probably be an issue. I'm more of a get things done and long term delayed gratification sort of individual so I can wait. Also, I learned a lot of creative skills from making my comics. I'm still learning more. I've read dozens of books and articles about creating comics, and I still hadn't read anything about or by Scott Mccloud until 2006-2007.

2) With regards to the reviewer in question. In addition to using logical and numerical fallacies. Her arguments were based entirely on ad populum, ad baculum, propaganda, hypocrisy, and worse grammar and syntax than what I usually get away with. Furthermore, based on her own argument I would be more of an authority than she is because my manufacture date predates hers whether or not my "model" is defective.

Also, some artists like construction/ pencil lines. I happen to be one of many in that regard because I can use numerical fallacies too. Also, I can actively dispute that she read 50 pages at all much less 100 pages. I can also assure you I haven't altered the worst coloring job ever.

Since she barely made reference to twelve pages and mentioned a third chapter that was somewhere in the hundreds which she __clearly__ didn't read. I see no reason to be completely honest when ranting about her for no apparent reason.

3) The comic was already dead... you can clearly read THE END about ten pages and several months before the date she actually reviewed my comic. So basically she was beating up on a dead horse. At the very least one that was mostly dead.

Furthermore, you cannot prove Socrates was mortal since he didn't die of natural causes. It was my understanding that he was poisoned with hemlock. And, I might add, according to some eastern religions becoming a god, or immortal, doesn't mean you cannot be killed.

4) The same review site reviewed my comic earlier and, well... 8/10

4 out of 5 stars seems to be the general reaction of anyone that reads more than 50 pages.

http://wereviewyoudontsue.smackjeeves.com/comics/510841/not-intentionally-obsessive-glas h/

Now, I suspect if I made a comic based on anything that was remotely popular in both appearance and style among the Diamond group of publishers and Manga, I'd have a significantly larger fanbase.

Also, I feel I've spent far too much time talking about myself. As cathartic as it may be I think we should talk about Lug-z and his comic.

@Lug-z

Got your nose, made you look.

Jarkes (Guest)

reply

@GabrielsThoughts: Um... no. I was merely making a point that the second part of the quote about friendship giving "value to survival" is saying that that is what makes friendship meaningful, and you, in your dislike (I'm not saying hatred, since you give legitimate reasons for disliking the show, and you've at the very least watched a few episodes) of the show, seemed to be ignoring that part and focusing on the "Friendship is unnecessary" part.

I didn't even know about this reviewer. You really didn't need to go on that... I'm not going to call it a rant, since it didn't really have an angry tone to it. It was more of a... monologue. That's the right word. Heck, I don't think I've even read any of your comics.

And what the heck does Socrates have to do with any of this? That seemed to be kind of a random tangent.

@Lug-z
Hmm... You know I just watched part 1 of 6 of the "Double Rainboom" animatic on youtube since Ibrony seems down.

I watched it with the sound turned off and it occurs to me that Twilight seems out of character. I shouldn't have watched enough episodes to be able to spot that, but I did. At the very least I'm going to watch the first season eventually.

@Jarkes

Actually, I'm focused on friendship is betrayal, not friendship is unnecessary. If I intended to focus on half the quote I would have only delivered the parts that were necessary.

http://mlp-fib.thecomicseries.com/comics/

It's absolutely classic... Twilight kills her parents, kills monsters, plots murder, and revenge. And Celestia is more or less exactly the same.

My mention of Socrates was a bit Syllogism Sillyness.

1) All men are mortal (in theory if not practice.)

2)Socrates is a man (although he could just as easily be an amalgamation of several individuals like Pythagoras.)
____________________________________

3) Therefore, Socrates is mortal (again inconclusive and unprovable since he didn't die of natural causes. Not to mention without a body there is nothing more than documented evidence.)

I think Lugz was the one who provided a link to the fallacy detective website.Not that the aforementioned examples are on there.

@GabrielsThoughts: “Played out my fantasies?” I didn't do any shipping! Alicorns are arguably the most powerful type of ponies, so it's natural that Bloodlust would give him that form.
However, the only ones we've seen so far are GIRLS. Male alicorns (if they exist) must be rare. Bloodlust just shaped Eon based on what she knew.

Also, I meant a feminine figure, not a feminine body. Think girly man, people. NOT gender change.
