Derpy Hooves? Do you like muffins? I take it that you really like muffins, for some reason. Well, I say this, 'cause I think you're eating far too many. You're going to feel rather sick, if you don't stop soon.

Alright! So, we finally get to see Spike, at long last! I cannot tell you how many times I had to rearrange Rainbow Dash and Spike in this page. Even switching graphics around! This is another one of those inspired pages. Seeing some sick-looking images of Spike, coupled with a cursive writing sub-project I once had to do (and ended up writing a Twilight Sparkle and Spike scene) back in 12-grade English, I had to get this scene out there!

Westside story is the worst musical I have ever witnessed, and I saw it as a child. I can only imagine how much less enjoyment I would get from it as an adult.

Also, the movie has my personal award for WORST FIGHT SCENES EVER. I can't even remember anything more than maybe five minutes, snippets of the whole thing, but it is BAAAAAAAAAAD.

There needs to be a few more musicals like the Little Shop of Horrors. If anyone can point me in the direction of one I'd be grateful.

As for musicals I've seen in my life. I watched the original "The Music Man" at a restored theater in Florida somewhere from the penut gallery. And, I had to watch a couple musicals when I was taking acting classes at CSN. "Hairspray" and "The Trial of Leo Frank." Also, there was the "Blues Brothers" and "Beetlejuice meets the Ghostbusters" at Universal Studios, Florida. And, I think I saw parts of the live action "Beauty and the Beast" at one of the Disney resorts. I liked the idea of comedians as the opening act. The Most recent musical I saw was "Nunsense." which, is a bit like Sister Act.

Other stage performances I've seen while living in Florida include "Little Orphan Annie" and "Padington Bear." And, later in life while living in vegas, I witnessed a collegian performance of what I believe to be an adaptation of Hitchcock's "Lifeboat." Although, it was probably something based loosely on a simmilar theme.

Anyway, I watched it on SciFi, and my sister watched it online through a British website, I think. Because of the over-abundance of commercials, Doctor Who was abridged by around five minutes or so on SciFi for every episode.

Eventually, we came across some middle group that made the both of us extremely happy in the form of a channel called "BBC America". Seems they air their new shows and episodes there at the same time as they would in England.

@GabrielsThoughts: "Brainwashing"? I beg to differ. Friendship is Magic is one of the only shows left that doesn't do that to children, and instead treats them as intelligent human beings, as it gives them a more mature outlook on the world. Ironically, it's common childrens' shows that preach the "love and tolerance" concept; not FiM.

I think you'll appreciate what the show does a lot more, if you read this.

@ Lugz

You don't think "giving kids the
measuring stick by which to judge themselves and others" is a maladaptive goal for a show that supposedly teaches and promotes "viable" real life lessons?

I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover; and, I wouldn't expect them to teach children philosophies along the lines of objectivism or anarchy. However, the fact remains the show not only maintains the status quo, it blatantly manipulates its target audience while reinforcing century old teachings that have already been questioned.

If there is one thing the show promotes it would be accepting the judgement of others, especially superiors, because first impressions and authority are always right.

Another stellar guiding principle of the show postulates reasons why you should withhold all information and other things that are necessary from special populations until it is earned or deserved.

Naturally the exception to this would be to prove you are right.

After all, one of the messages that was vaguely implied reasoned that those who are worthy are naturally more talented, so you should not question their motives.

I think one of the popular repetitive themes that the show enjoys abusing would be that showing off is a sign of incompetence and it must be punished... because humility.

Sorry, I cannot really discuss any specific examples from the show itself because I refuse to watch more than the handful episodes I've already seen.

I have no problem reading and enjoying fan related materials because there always a difference between listening to the Creepy Pasta, or if you prefer, Gloomy Sunday music and discussing it.

For instance I think Fake Grimlock hit the nail on the head with his lecture at harvard...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjyjWPMqTrs

You are a very open and charismatic individual, and It is my hope you don't see my dislike for "friendship is magic" as disapproval. After all, I am in your direct chain of authority and consult ((based entirely on my level of education and manufacture date)).

At this time I simply do not wish, nor care, to watch the show. I guess you'll just have to accept and tolerate me for something other than the things we have in common on this subject.

Actually, it's because Lugz left a very positive comment on one of my comics. I decided to read one of his comics. I very much enjoyed it. As stated earlier I also support and actively encourage memeing and fan projects.

Not because it dilutes the product, but rather, because it gets people closer to creating something wonderful and genuinely good for themselves and others as opposed to creating something miserable and depraved for somebody else.

@Lugbzurg: Really? Because I'm pretty sure at least a few of those sequels have at least TRIED to break new ground in their series. I mean, from what I've heard, the Modern Warfare sequels aren't rehashes of COD 4.

And there IS the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Heck, the main Pokemon series had a bit of a formula, and it only truly broke out of it in Generation 5.

But then of course, we also had stuff like the Mega Man Battle Network series. 6 games in the same amount of years, and they were all virtually identical, save for a few gameplay tweaks and having two versions of 3-6. Of course, in hindsight, this might actually be preferable compared to how Capcom's treating Mega Man now...

@Jarkes: Actually, no. They pretty much are rehash sequels of CoD4. Though, the third one took a nose-dive from any of the creativity and interesting concepts the first two might have had. Turns out the co-creators of the first two Modern Warfare titles were fired before MW3 went into production. And it was only in production for seven months.

I'm neither kidding, nor exaggerating.

And I know about the whole "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" thing. The important thing is to upgrade at every opportunity. After all, no one likes eating the same dinner every single night.
