@Jarkes: Griffon the Brush-Off.

It's when she's being chased by Pinkie Pie, who pops out of a pond right behind her.

@Lugbzurg:

I don't know, the blame game is an awful explanation for what happened in serendipity. But thank merciful heaven it has ended.

"Future Diary" is depressing. Let me spoil it for you, the protagonist's crazy girlfriend and violent stalker is god. Apparently she already won the game then traveled back in time to play it all over again.

First, she killed her past self and her parents. This wasn't difficult as her parents were clearly into S&M. As is evidenced by the fact that they locked her into a dog kennel until she finished her homework. I'm not entirely sure there will be a third season. Although I'm told the comic book ending was much better. This particular anime romanticized death and violence in a way that was just disgusting. You'd be better off watching "Eden of the East" or "Darker than Black."

I'm currently watching "Sword Art Online" after having seen "Accelerated World" and "HighSchool of the Dead." Apparently they were made by the same studio and since the other two were most excellent I anticipate Sword Art will be as well. The third episode is a bit of a tear jerker and required recovery time. It is definitely a story of inescapable trauma.

@GabrielsThoughts: I can't read that. I don't want spoilers.

Other shows high on my list after Higurashi: When They Cry and Future Diary include...

11Eyes
The Familiar of Zero
Fullmetal Alchemist
MAR
Code Geass
Clannad
Sword Art Online
Fractale
Dance in the Vampire Bund
Fate/Stay Night
High School of the Dead
Black Butler

And I guess a few others on the way, but then the list would be getting really long. I've gotten some good recommendations (and some warnings) from ShadowACS. https://www.youtube.com/user/ShadowACS
Oddly enough, the first thing I saw from him was a video on how much hated Soul Eater, which I have been enjoying so far.

Speaking of Future Diary, I was thinking about drawing Yuno as a Diclonius, carrying a Death Note. Any ideas as to make her even scarier?

@Lugbzurg:

Black Butler was good. I watched both seasons on hulu.

"Familiar of Zero" is harry potter with an underage dominatrix who wears underwear thee sizes to small. This is of course based on the abridged series. It wasn't nearly as good as "Fairy Tail" which is essentially "Rave Master: the other dimension."

I haven't heard of "Fate/Stay Night" however when I read it I immediately thought of "Devil May Cry" although I haven't seen either one.

"Code Geass" was good up to a point. I also watched it on cartoon network and a few episodes were available on demand.

You'd be better off if you stopped watching after episode 8 of the second season.

"Mar" I have only seen a handful of episodes of on cartoon network and I believe that his father is the chess master king of the opposite team. However, this is an assumption. Again, I haven't watched more than a handfull of episodes most related to him getting the ridiculous talking hammer.

"Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" is not as enjoyable as the original series in my opinion. So, I guess it would be much wiser to watch it first and then the other.

I don't like vampires in particular, and I never heard of "Fractale," "Clannad" or "11 eyes."

You might want to see "Needless." I consider it to be on equal footing with "Familiar of Zero."

@GabrielsThoughts: "FAIRY TAIL"! I knew I was forgetting something important!

Actually, I have seen Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. In fact, I'm watching it again.

Also, after seeing this, I've kind of wanted to take a look at the rather bizarrely-historical Samurai Pizza Cats.

@Lugbzurg: Actually, the gag dub of Samurai Pizza Cats was done by Saban Entertainment. You might be more familiar with them as the people behind the popular "adaptation" (I use that term loosely, though it's sometimes more accurate or less accurate depending on the season) of Super Sentai known as Power Rangers.

They also did the dub of the first three Digimon series (Adventure, Adventure 02, and Tamers), and MAY have done the dub of Digimon Frontier, though I'm not entirely sure.

Okay, so obviously, this comic has to take place before season 3... but what about season 2?

Speaking of season 3, what do you think of Alicorn Twilight? I know you don't like the use of the term "alicorn" to describe a winged unicorn, but what do you think of the concept?

@Jarkes: Absolutely jarring. What has Twilight ever done to prove she's qualified for this position? Absolutely nothing. She'd be far better off as a knight. Why didn't Shining Armor get the position? Not only is he far more qualified, he's married to one of the dang things!

Oh, and Discord is mentioned, so it's not before Season 2.

@Lugbzurg:

Is Shining Armor popular? Remember, Canterlot (Ponyland?) is a socialist society first and a sexist society second. That's evident within the first few episodes. I may not know what Twilight does other than working at the library, but I'm pretty sure she was Trollestia's favorite at court. It's possible she was being groomed as nightmare moon's replacement. Also, she's clearly a manager. How does being granted the power of flight make her less of one?

I'm not entirely sure I follow your reasoning, since still I haven't seen the show.

@Lugbzurg: I dunno, considering that a princess is a position of leadership in the show, I'd say Twilight's a natural leader and perfect for the position. There's just the question of what she rules over. But that, among other questions, will be answered in the Season 4 premiere... next winter.

As for Shining Armor, he's already a prince by way of his marriage with Cadance. That's about as close as he's going to get, because it seems that only mares can be alicorns. Bit of reverse sexism there, if you ask me.

Also, I prefer to think that only Celestia and Luna are immortal, due to possibly having different circumstances as to why they're alicorns, and Cadance and Twilight are not. Mainly because I got sick of seeing all the "Twilight will outlive all her friends, and Cadance will outlive Shining Armor" fanfics and fanart that are so freaking common.

@Jarkes:
After watching "Lunopolis" on Amazon Prime, it would apear there is the possibility that Celestia and Nightmare Moon are the paradoxical result of time travel hence the reason they're immortal.

Essentially, neither one can kill the other because they are the same person and neither one can die because Celestia figured out the trick to immortality before she decided to travel back in time and kill herself.

It's kind of like future diary, only in this instance her alternate gets immortality because she's there. I guess.

Now there's an interesting case study.

In order to become the Kami of earth a narcissistic alien entity supposedly decided to separate his yin consciousness from his yang consciousness.

Which is ironic because his yin consciousness allowed him to keep Mr. Popo as his slave.

I can only imagine how evil Piccolo was with his sense of justice and logic being based entirely on hatred, jealousy, and inequality.
