Hey, 10 more pages to go before #100. Unless of course you don't count the cover page and the Serenderpity joke page as real pages. Then you've got 12.

@Jarkes: This is labeled as Page 88. The other two aren't part of the actual story count. Well, the cover is #0 and Serenderpity is just filler.

I recently figured out the mark on twilight's flank is symbolic of the joy of magic. So I guess her element of peace and or harmony is "joy." When I figure out a symbol for nonsense you'll be the first to know.

@Lugbzurg:

When I studied group dynamics and sound design I don't remember magic being a part of harmony. There's storming, forming, norming and performing. There are ascending tones and phantom melodies, but these things are attributed to illusion.

@Lugbzurg:

Ah, so it's all based on lies then.

Laughter can be used to hide pain, just as kindness could could hide a need for validation.

The best lies are mostly true, and the truth can get one killed.

Generosity could be an expression of shame or guilt for using loyalty to manipulate and take advantage.

I suppose one would need magic to make the tragedy of it all disappear.

@Lugbzurg: Yes, but when you consider the title of the show (Friendship is Magic), you realize that Magic is a stand-in for Friendship. Hence why Twilight's realization in the pilot triggered the awakening of her Element (and by extension, the rest of them).

The title of the show is also why Twilight will NOT be leaving her friends because of her new princess status (and also because it's explicitly stated that she became a princess BECAUSE of her friendship). Seriously, do you know how many fancomics I've seen suggesting that? I have never seen so many people completely miss the ponit of something.

I'm just really disappointed that we'll likely have to wait another 9 months for Season 4 if the "this winter" announcement is any indication. I swear, if we have to wait an entire year, many people are not going to be happy, myself included.

@Jarkes: Twilight has no experience in leading a large population. Shining Armor has years of the stuff. He's even a battle strategist and everything. Good intentions don't automagically grant you skills in something you've never had anything to do with.

@Lugbzurg: Many great leaders started out with no experience, and had to be helped along the way. In fact, Celestia more or less said that she'd continue to guide Twilight.

And really, most of Shining Armor's on-screen actions are him screwing up big time, as much as I hate to admit it. Not that Twilight hasn't screwed up before (in fact, the cutie mark switching spell is in and of itself a major screw-up, but that's a whole other issue that I'd rather not get into)...

@Jarkes: Governing a population is on a far different level than, say... fast food service.

And as for Shining Armor... Not detecting an enemy disguised as his bride? Not exactly worth blame.

@Lugbzurg:

I'm a social strategist, I've had years of training, a college degree in visual media.

I have since taken measures to have my nose frequently in a psychology text book. I'd even be willing to wait 17 seconds before volunteering for leadership position if it's offered.

Unfortunately, past experience has shown, (if not taught me) that people don't want competent leaders or experts, they want managers.

Compulsory education prepares you for military service and College is management training.

Unfortunately, without the authority, power, or money, to back up words of wisdom, they are often relegated to theory status.

As such, competent leaders may sound like incompetent psychopaths unless they have some measure of social status.

Plus, I was horrified that I went to college took classes in philosophy, took notes no less, and heard nothing about logical fallacies, save for syllogisms, until after I graduated. That is a crime.

New theory on character archetypes, still haven't watched much of the show...

Twilight Sparkle= Mary Sue

Celestia= Sacred Prostitute

Nightmare Moon= Demon/ False Co-Dependent Self

Applejack= Financial Victim (Someone who sacrifices their happiness for personal gain. And, one who uses work or competition as a distraction from their pain, often as an excuse to avoid personal problems or accountability, taken to an extreme where it causes personal injury or harm.)

Pinky Pie= Internal Drives or Desires

Rainbow Dash= Adaptive Child

Rarity= Ogre Mother/ Bridezilla

Trixie= Little Professor

Fluttershy= Wounded Child

Derpy Hooves= Self Confidence or Youthful Idealism

Plus, I'm still working out how I'm going to stage Scarcity's post traumatic play therapy in order to introduce Latchkey as a sympathetic character while remaning a total jackass.

April Fools!

I've only played final fantasy 7, 8, 9. Surprisingly, none of them have anything in common except mechanics.

I've heard "Lunar" and "Legend of the Dragoon" are good RPG's but I haven't played them.

@Jarkes: Ragnamune was doing one of Pony Fantasy 6. Me and Flashbang100 were even in a few parts. But it was taken down for some reason.

@GabrielsThoughts: Most recently, I've been enjoying a slightly unusual RPG in the form of Riviera: The Promised Land. (GameBoy Advance, PSP)

The Fire Emblem series is really good, too.

@Lugbzurg: Really? That's kind of weird, considering that there's another LP of that which HASN'T been taken down... But I was asking more about the actual Final Fantasy games, and not fan hacks...

Also, I know Riviera: The Promised Land is part of a series, but the only other game from that series I remember the name of was Yggdra Union, which I think is the official name of the series as well...

@Jarkes: He took it down himself. I think the game was somehow not being able to record for some reason. So, rather than leave an incomplete playthrough sitting there to rot, he just took it down. Also, he broke away from the brony fandom a while back, which may also have to do with it.

Yggdra Union? I played that. I thought it was pretty cool how there's a whole group fighting another group at once in each fight segment, rather than one character throwing an attack at another foe or a few enemies, like pretty much every RPG ever. But it still played out like a confusing and sluggish version of Fire Emblem with less strategy to work with. I haven't enjoyed it nearly as much as Riviera. Also, I could totally see someone making a fanhack for Riviera to turn it into a Rosario + Vampire game. I'd like to play that.
