So... What the heck is the awesome face doing here? Somehow, it has ended up on Lolony's butt. Hopefully, the next page doesn't end up sounding too awkward...

It wouldn't be any more odd than a green unicorn with cat's eyes and mandibles. Unless that is a moustache, in which case it's still odd.

@Fiora Aroura: It rhymes with "bologna". This wasn't even my character. He came from The Pony-Posting Place a long time ago. I had this scene planned for him ever since I saw that page. It worked out really well, as it's supposed to lead right into the conversation I needed for the next page.

@Lugbzurg: I'm not trying to be mean, but all these cameos and references are clashing with the plot and it's very confusing. I thought for the longest time that that Tardis thing you cameoed would have something to do with the plot, but I guess not. Plus things like a Tardis and an awesome face wouldn't exist in this universe.
But who knows, this could just be one of those comics that just has fun with it rather than take it completely seriously. But you should probably mention that in the beginning.

@Jarkes: SPOILER ALEART!
Conker's Bad Fur Day went through a major case of Cerebus Syndrome!

I haven't heard that term before until now (found a definition on TV Tropes), but I've actually had a few stories in mind that use that. Can't tell anyone which ones though, 'cause that would ruin the surprise!

. . .

CAN YOU DO THAT!? Can you tone-shift twice!?

It is my understanding the first two games were exactly the same. That's why people complained about them.

Uhhh... Guys? Conker's Bad Fur Day was the second of the first two (and only) games (not counting the BFD remake). The first was Conker's Pocket Tales for the GameBoy Color.

Incidentally, is anyone else that hangs out around here also a fan of the Kirby games? Because I've got a Kirby/MLP:FiM crossover fanfic out now:

Now would be an ideal time to watch "Eden of the East" on hulu. It looks like the follow up movies "Paradise Lost" and "King of Eden" are available. Not the best of endings, but it's definitely worth watching at least once.

@GabrielsThoughts: It would also be ideal to watch this after scheduling a bunch of mature, serious animé (Higurashi: When They Cry, Future Diary, 11Eyes) to see for a little "Cerebus Syndrome".

"Eden of the East" is more mature and serious than "Future Diary" and more or less uses the same plot device much more effectively.

Although, Deus ex machina cell phones of death are probably cliche by now.

EDIT: after watching the first episode of "11 eyes," I am more convinced than ever that the death of pedo bear in "Is This a Zombe?" was warranted.

HUH!? How did...!?

Ok, I was looking on Goggle for a picture that could have something to do with both The Future Diary and 11eyes, and found this page of Serendipity in the results. How does that work!?
