Too bad they've gotta stay behind.
Gee, I wonder what happened to Dashie?
Was that a Boston accent?

So, anyway, I've been debating about whether or not to get the PSN ports of the Sonic Adventure games. On the one hand, I don't have the Gamecube versions of them anymore, but I think I would still enjoy them. On the other hand, time has not been kind to those two games, and I hear that the PSN ports of them aren't particularly good ports, mainly because they're almost exactly the same as they've always been, making some of their flaws, like the abundance of glitches (though neither game is as glitchy as Sonic '06) and the annoying camera, even more apparent. I just don't want to end up wasting my money.

EDIT: Although I do hear that the PSN port of Adventure 2 does fix some of those dialogue moments where a character starts talking before another character has finished their line. And I kind of hope that the port is based off the Dreamcast version, because the Gamecube version had a very bizarre and pointless edit to a certain plot-relevant cutscene that rendered it and a later cutscene completely nonsensical.

@Jarkes: They're both based on the GameCube versions.

Also, I'd recommend getting them on either X-Box 360 or Steam. Sonic Adventure in particular didn't even get an aspect ratio fix. So, you'll have these huge, thick purple rectangles on the side of your screen on the PSN version.

Finally... I've been waiting for this story to move into gear for months now.

@GabrielsThoughts: Sometimes a slower-paced narrative is better than a breakneck narrative, but yeah, it's kind of sad that we're nearly 100 pages in, and there hasn't been much in the way of plot. It's rather reminiscent of something written by J.J. Abrams, and not in a good way. And this is all "Book 1..."

...Though at least there haven't been any lens flares yet.

EDIT: Though to be perfectly honest, it probably wouldn't feel so slow if there were A. more frequent updates, B. more panels per page, or C. both.

@Jarkes: I like Dragon Ball Z and I guess I could see how to make a lens flare.

Actually, apparently the PSN re-release of Sonic Adventure 2 is, in fact, an HD re-release... though I suspect that it's just the 16:9 aspect ratio update, and not, say, the graphics being upgraded to Sonic Generations levels.

@Jarkes: It's got sharper textures and better lighting. Though the three-dimensional models are still the same as the GameCube release.

So, I started a new file on Pokemon Leaf Green... I am currently trying to catch an Abra. Since I have nothing to keep it in place (I think Bellsprout's Wrap might keep it from using Teleport, but it's always faster than my Bellsprout), you can imagine it's pretty infuriating. It's not even going onto my team; I'm mainly catching it so I can trade it to that guy on Route 2 for that Mr. Mime and put THAT on my team, since Chuggaaconroy's Fire Red LP convinced me of Mr. Mime's awesomeness.

Also, for the first time ever, I started with Charmander on this version.

I finally got around to reading some of the comics I picked up on free comic book day. So far I like 'Bodie Troll' and 'Mouse Guard.' They were good reads. I enjoyed them very much. They each reminded me of 'Bone' in their own ways.

I've been thinking for a while that this would be an excellently-ideal theme song for the first part of the trilogy.

Once again, I have beaten Pokemon Leaf Green. Once again, I did it with none of my Pokemon at or above level 50. Unlike most other times, however, I pulled it off on my first try.
