Why do they look disappointed? She outwitted and defeated more enemies.

I thought the pacing was off, but I read it again and understood.

So, good page. Or at least good enough.

Okay. first off, without the support(s), one cannot tell that was a cardboard cut out at first glance. Secondly, unless the cupcake is stale, or made of marble, it does not count as artillery. For that you need day old French bread. Finally, that was not enough artillery to take out two minions. I don't care if they are made of shadows, they still clearly have mass.

Beyond that, the wick of the cannon was not lit. So, unless it's an "air" cannon or in some way magically magical (which it probably was considering how it blends into the background), there is no way for that blast to have worked. Also, that loose cannon is going to slam her against a wall because of the physics of momentum and the lack of cinderblocks breaking the force against the wheels.

If anything, with the speed lines and everything, it looks like they did a backflip to avoid getting hit, and Pinky's just riding the cannon like a trolly car. Are you sure you don't want to put a "WHEEEEEEEE!" in/on that 5th panel?

Pinky had that canon in one of those
episodes of MLP and also cannons do stuff like that alot, like a water cannon if you put it right it will not move, depends on canon or just PINKIE LOGIC! plus i think its funny when pinkie says stuff that everybody stares and are like [what?] [im in the stage of liking My little pony... and being a male]

@Dcall X1 [offline]:

I'm still in the stage of being able to enjoy the liking of cartoons. What I dislike about Friendship is Magic is the maladaptive behaviors and potentially damaging social values it's teaching children. It would appear the cartoon was made to condition a future generation of gatekeepers and slaves. Were I to compare Friendship is Magic to something where what's wrong with it is so blatantly obvious almost anyone could pick up on the propaganda immediately, I would choose "Tico and the Golden Wings." Friendship is magic is social engineering children in my opinion, and not teaching them.

You always have critics harping on writers about "character development," but you never actually see any presented in media with characters that have grown beyond hedonistic survivalism. Unless, of course, they are on the hero's journey towards self actualization and apotheosis. In this case, you have a hero's journey where the main character doesn't really grow, because she's basically a post modern Suzie homemaker who learns how to make everything fit into a window box, and yet somehow still achieves apotheosis because she is the queen's apple polisher...

Meanwhile the main character seems to make friends, like a drug addict, by just showing up to the party. If you think about it, you could even make the series crime oriented as well. In the gang you have a coke head, a tweaker, a dealer, an enforcer, a maul, and a hoe or bottom bitch. All the males are portrayed as beasts of burden or exist in service to the ladies of the "morning light." In my not so humble opinion, the whole thing looks about as shallow as the waters of a kiddie pool. I'm surprised Harvey Birdman hasn't been called in to defend them on drug running and racketeering charges yet. You could make parody of the wire with Twilight taking over the role of D'angleo and no one would be the wiser.

Actually, sleep depravation has a similar effect on the brain as alchohol, and most of the people who hang out on the internet after midnight are labeled as being 12-15 year olds in their profiles. I don't know if they're role playing or if they're actually teenagers, Quite honestly I don't care. Maybe I have insomnial dyslexia.

@Dcall X1:

LugZ usually updates on saturdays before noon PST. I update whenever I feel like it. But, when I do, it's usually once a week or five comics at the end of the month depending on whether or not I've colored or not. Towards the end of the TP run I was coloring 5-12 back pages for every update. However, the dialog is still the same as it ever was back when it was just line art. The original organization of the comic can be more or less found here...
