No body even bothered to fix the lack of eyelashes in the vector used in the last frame. Now Derpy shall always lose her eyelashes whenever she's surprised.

Wait, wouldn't it make more sense to make Derpy not know where Canterlot is, even though they could see it from Ponyville?

I've never been to Russia, but I have a general idea of where it is. The same holds true for China, Austrailia, Africa, Mexico, Antarctica, and Canada. I would assume if it's on the same contenent you'd have a more accurate bead on the location.

Yes. In fact, News is an acrynim for North, East, West, and South. And, I wouldn't be a Visual Media Graduate if I didn't know the underlying structure of publication news media along with production, gaming, computing, and what I assume is the psychology of marketing.

Sadly, I took a class on advertising ethics and learned nothing except case studies involving Australian and New Zealand marketing solutions. I had to suplement this with a buzzmarketing book I picked up at the dollar store. I also know dozens of case studies involving radio stations, movie production companies, computer manufacturing agencies, and all sorts of fantastic trival solutions to problems that were faced well over 20+ years ago.

Unfortunately, I occasionally happen to have the sanguine weakness for remembering names. So unless it appeared on a multiple choice test or I heard the name prounounced the same way as one of my professors verbalizations I couldn't be certain of anything.

Then again, there is not a single problem that is so bad it requires immediate attention. If it requires immediate attention then it's a crisis. I like to head off problems before they occur if I can avoid it. Becasue, the easiest mess to clean up is the one you never make. Unfortunately, a crisis (being a situation created through blind faith and shared ignorance) can only be analysed after it has occured. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either off their rocker or thinks themselves clairvoyant. In which case they're only 50% right since that is the accuracy with which people can predict the future unless it involves them personally, becasue then the statistic jumps to 60% and we all know what a big difference 10% can make. Woooooooo.

I'm not sure how a compass works on a world where the sun is dragged around by a troll queen, but one typically uses a clock system to identify their spatial relationships. Dogs tend to poop North to South and the sun rises in the East and settles in the West. Knowing this information can save your life... Although, to be fair, I never did figure out how to identify which way the Dog's nose was pointed by looking at their skat.

You can even buy watches with a compass if you like, they're quite the novelty item. I'm looking to buy a new one eventually since my old one is busted. Regardless, my sense of direction is top notch. As long as I'm not blindfolded I can make it back to where I started from any location wheather or not I memorized the terrain. Although, I'll admit I have been reliant on GPS in recent years and it's nice to have a map of the territory first. When in doubt or lost head downhill or follow railroad tracks.
