@Lugbzurg:
I can't make out what was going on in the third panel...

Did Mike smack the chariot?

Did Celestia perform a substitution jutsu?

You've already conditioned us not to pay attention to the backgrounds, is the blurry thing in the fourth panels supposed to be Celestia? Because in that instance there would be two sounds one for the initial impact... and one for final impact.

You could have showed Mike grithering Celestia instead of posing for the camera.

Also, Nova and Derpy are apparently reacting to each other rather than anything that's happening within the distal boundaries of their perception.

The whole page is very rushed. You jump from one panel to the next and expect us to fill in the missing information with maybe 1/10 to 1/4 of the understanding required to fill in the action taking place and to be honest it's rather irritating.

I hesitate to bring up the fluffle puff arc, as loath as I am to mention it, but at least there you seemed to care that we were able to follow what was going on... at least in the begining. After about five months it just became about making vector backgrounds and we wanted the story to continue. Here, you have action that is essential to story, over exposition, and I can barely follow what's going on because your editing ability relies entirely on how empathic or sympathetic the audience is to your imagination and not the other way around where you are attempting to share your imagination with an empathic or sympathetic audience.

I have a hard time believing a reasonable person, such as yourself, would be incapable of patiently committing themselves to the creative process (with the intention of expressing an idea through visual means or otherwise) while expecting the intended audience to meet you more than half way, while ignoring the crucial element in all forms of storytelling. "TIMING!"

Ultimately, that's what an editor does, they play with the time and context of the events as they occur. Your timing, for the moment, is so bad I'm misinterpreting the context of the events.

There is also a problem with staging as well, since you have already apparently taught us to ignore the backgrounds shortly after the fluffle puff saga, if not during, not to mention the ignorance inherent in shades of text balloon cloud. If, and when, this comic devolves once again and becomes a series of disjointed backgrounds without exposition or sound effects beyond single panel fare, there is a risk you are going to loose community interest and novelty.

I need to see the source myself in order for me to believe it. But, it's definitely a horrific idea. I always kind of thought they based the characters personalities off of Azumanga Daioh.

I also like my transactional analysis theory too. The characters are all assorted transactional archetypes from within a single person.
